This is such a yummy cake known by many different names, but this is what my Father-in-Law calls it & it's more child friendly than the other popular name :) If you've never had this cake, you must try it--very easy & good!
Better Than a Nap Cake
1 box of German chocolate cake mix
eggs, oil, & water (amounts depend on the brand of cake mix)
1 jar of caramel sauce (found with the ice cream toppings)
8 oz. cool whip
Heath bits or toffee bits (enough to sprinkle on top)
Follow directions on the box for making & baking the cake. Let the cake cool for a couple of minutes & then take a knife & poke holes all over the cake. Pour the caramel sauce on top & spread it over the cake. Let the cake cool completely & then spread the cool whip on top. Sprinkle heath bits on top of the cool whip. Store in the fridge.
* I like to refrigerate the cake a few hours before eating.
