This cake makes a great strawberry shortcake!
Yellow Cake
2 1/2 C. sifted flour
1 1/2 C. sugar (3/4 C. sugar, 3/4 C. brown sugar)
1 Tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. softened butter
1 C. milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
Add all ingredients in mixer and beat on low for 2 minutes and then on high until the batter is fluffy. Pour batter into a greased 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Do not over bake.
