These are a easy & yummy treat--especially if you're in a non-chocolate mood!
Butterscotch Bars
1 C. butter, melted
1 1/2 C. brown sugar
1 1/2 C. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 C. flour, sifted
Mix thoroughly & then add
6 eggs (one at a time)
Mix well. Spread in a greased jelly roll pan (or two 9x13 pans).
Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely & top with butter cream frosting.
Frosting
1/2 C. softened butter
3 C. powdered sugar (this is just an estimate--I always just dump some in & add more if needed)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk (again, I just dump some in until it's the right consistency)
Beat until it's well mixed and smooth.
